Dominique Bailey-Boahene, a multidisciplinary artist with a focus on textile art, discussed her workshop on rag rug weaving, a technique learned from her grandmother. She emphasized the meditative and communal aspects of the craft, using discarded domestic textiles to create unique pieces. Dominique highlighted the functional and artistic value of her work, aiming to exhibit it globally. She also shared her passion for performing, starting in 2024, and her vision of creating a safe, inclusive space in Southeast Asia for community and creativity. Dominique aims to authentically represent herself online, fostering connections and a sense of belonging.
